Took some photos of the Fiends yesterday. Managed to capture all but Sky, as he doesn’t stay still for more than 5 seconds!

Nurse Snowy preens Blueboy

Snowy must have sensed little Blueboy’s anxiety as he’s recently (yesterday) started to preen the little Blue chap.

Managed to get a photo of him doing so again this morning. I think it’s helping to calm Blueboy as he had a more restful night last night.

Shall I have red millet, yellow millet, white millet, groats or canary seed?

New Transport cage for the fiends

A kind gentleman (Nigel Hughes) on our budgie forum sent me a Show Cage for just the cost of postage, for my budgies.

I needed a Transport cage for if they are sick and need to get to a vet. Last time I took Blueboy to the vet I used a small cardboard box inside a pet carrier and he actually gnawed through the box!

Luckily it was inside a tough plastic ferplast carrier so he couldn’t escape. Obviously this means he hated being in the box so I decided that they needed a new way to travel.

Anyway it’s a great little Show Cage and I think it will be ideal for this purpose!

How to let your budgie friend know that you want to be preened, MILLET!

Basil for Charlie

The day before yesterday Charlie had a little bite of a basil leaf. I do not know if it was his first time with herbs or not but he had a tell-tale little green tip to his beak so I know he had a little bit.

Today was a different story though, he was feeling stubborn this morning..

The face says it all.

Seriously, you expect me to go near that green thing?

I think I’ll stick with my Lantern thank you very much!

Look what arrived this morning. A large parcel containing amongst other things 500g of millet for the budgies.

I’m sure they’ll thank me in their own original ways..

I ordered this lovely lot from www.RatRations.com (they are also Jungle Gold) I highly recommend them, it came well packaged and in great condition!
