A Flying Start

Charlie had quite an adventure today.

The passageway was his runway – for about the 4th time.

But this time it was different – he meant business and was pulling off some impressive moves. He swerved before corners and landed perfectly on the cage top and clothes airer.

A very impressive flying session!

You wouldn’t know that he hadn’t flown much in his three young years before today.

Well done Charlie. πŸ™‚

The first picture made me smile. He does love his lantern.

He does. I think it was an incentive to come out of the cage as I took it out and put it on top!

Can I ask what camera you have Marianne? Those shots are so lovely and clear.

It’s not top of the range and it eats batteries fast. It’s a fuji-finepix A800. Only 8.3 Megapixels.

Wow. I thought it was an expensive one. Have to look out for it. It takes better pics than my panasonic lumix.

Trick is to take stacks of photos and then crop the best ones!

With quite a few of my birds they are used to the camera so I can get up close and use the macro function.

Charlies were mostly taken from a distance as I don’t want to freak him out.
