About my birds

For any new people that have started following my blog, I thought I would write a post about all my birds and the home that they share with us.

All of my birds are re-homed from people that could not look after them for one reason or another.

They all fly free, all day long in my front room.

They have cuttlebone, iodine block, mineral block, aviclens in their water most day, calcivet twice a week and aloe juice once a week. I put chewables all around for them.

Generally, birds do not come to me as fresh young chicks and some of them had more than one home before they got here. I am more interested in their happiness than any form of training. The oldest birds I have re-homed are Billybob and JoJo, they both have feet that do not grip well as their cage and branches were for bigger birds. JoJo also cannot fly, so we adapted her cage with lots of ropes and platforms. Billybob and JoJo were around 7 when they came to me.

Current birds and ages are:

Sky 9 years 2 months
